Here we are, headed into another year. And it's not ironic that this upcoming year is 2020, because this year cleared your vision for the next year. Last year you grew from the dirt that was thrown on you and they left you in, and this year you blossomed into something, someone far greater than you could ever have imagined. This year was by far one of the best years you've had in awhile. Yes, there were tears shed, but you wiped them, handled it and grew from them. This year was definitely one for the books. From closed doors to open ones. From new beginnings to promotion. From heartbreak to new adventures. This was a new level that was preparing you for what's to come. This year you fell deeper in love with yourself, became more of the lady God has called you to be, stood up for what you deserved, smiled more (and it was genuine, a true smile, a smile that reached your eyes), and was truly and authentically Brittney. This year was your "pregame" for what God is going to do in this upcoming year.
In this year of 2019, there were lessons learned that brought about 20/20 vision, be sure to take those lessons with you into the new year and years to come:
1. Refuel your Spirit
Each and every day start your day with God, end your day with God, and keep Him with you in the midst of everything that you do. You are nothing without God and as long as you have Him by your side you can and you will accomplish it all. When it seems like life is getting overwhelming, be selfish enough to steal away from everything to refuel your soul. You depend on it, your life depends on it and everyone connected to you depends on it. Remember that you cannot pour from an empty cup. It is essential for your well-being that you refuel as much as possible. Don't feel guilty for "Me Time". If they try to make you feel guilty for saying "no" it may be time to let them go. If they don't understand that you can't always be there, they're more than likely using you and aren't concerned with your well-being. True friends will understand when it's time for you to Refuel Your Spirit and that can't do everything, be everything they need or go everywhere they want you to go.
2. Refocus your Vision
The world will throw things at you that will try to get you off track. The enemy will throw things at you to try to keep you from becoming all that God has called you to be. You have greatness on the inside of you and you must remain focused on the prize ahead. Don't let this world or anyone make you feel like your vision is not good enough, that you're not good enough. You were brought in this world for a reason and this year was preparation for your purpose. When you feel like your vision is slipping away, when you feel like you are losing sight, step back, turn to God and Refocus your Vision.
3. Remember Who You Are
Don't let nothing or nobody take away who you are. There will be things that come along, people that come along, that will try to make you think or feel that you are less than who you truly are. Hold on to who God says that you are and not get wrapped up in the opinion of man. At the end of the day, know who you are and whose you are. Walk in your beauty, walk in your calling, walk in your purpose, walk in your truth and don't let anyone try to get you off track or make you think that you are nothing. You matter and you are more than enough. Don't change for anyone. God has created you in His image and made you beautiful, so don't let anyone make you believe that you have to change who you are in order to be loved, in order to matter, in order to be who God has called you to be.

Remember and take these lessons with you into the new year. Hold tightly to them on this new journey ahead of you. God has been preparing you for this moment all year and there are great things ahead of you, things you could have never imagined. So walk boldly into this new year, into this new season, onto this new level knowing that God is with you and He has prepared and equipped you for this new season. I pray that God continuously watches over you, protects you and continues to do marvelous work in and through your life. The journey ahead of you may not be easy but you were chosen for this moment. Embrace it and trust God through it all. Don't look back, walk into the next year with the expectancy of what God has promised over your life. 2020 is going to be a year that is going to blow your mind. God is about to do some amazing things and I look forward to watching God take you on this journey of exposure, overflow and many blessings.
