Life will come at you fast and sometimes hard. It will throw massive curve balls your way that will leave you in a panic. With everything that's going on in the world right now and the situations we were already facing, it's so easy to get caught up and begin to worry. The fear of the unknown can cause us to sit, wonder and worry about how we will handle whatever it is that we're going through. We worry about finances and how we're going to pay bills. We worry about how we are going to provide a roof over our head for ourselves and our families. We worry about health issues and whether we will be healed. We worry about our relationship/marriage and whether it's going to last. We worry about the image we are betraying and what others will think of us. We worry about whether we will get the job, a new job or even a promotion. We live in a society that focuses so much on image, the haves and the have not, that we get so caught up and worry about how we can fit in. But the truth of the matter is we all need to STOP WORRYING because we have nothing to worry about. What exactly does worrying fix? Does it provide you with the finances you're worried about? Does it pay the bills when it seems like you have more month than money? Does it put food on your table when you don't know where your next meal is going to come from? Does it put in a good word with your supervisor so that you can get the promotion? Does it heal your body when the doctor doesn't know what's wrong and have no solutions? The answer to all of those questions is no. Worry brings about more stress, more anxiety which can lead to more problems. But I ask...

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?

~Matthew 6:27

When we focus on things above, focus on the positive, we are able to remind ourselves that we have someone that's in our corner that's able to answer all of those questions. That's able to provide far more than we could ever imagine. God will meet all of your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). God will supply everything that we need. He will provide you with the resources that you need in order to live the life that He has for you. He will place people in your life that will be a help and not a hindrance. He will make ways out of no ways even when you don't see it. He will lift you when you have fallen. He will put your name in rooms that you have not even entered yet in order to provide you with ALL that you need and more. So what you worried 'bout? You have no reason to worry when you have God on your side. Set your mind on things above (Colossians 3:2) and don't worry about what's to come. Focus on the here and now. Focus on God and know that He is in your present and He is already in your future, working everything out on your behalf. Put a smile on your face and keep pushing because that very thing that you're worried about has already been worked out. So again, "What You Worried 'Bout?"

Scripture:

27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

~Matthew 6:27-34
