On this journey of life there will be a lot of things that will come your way. A lot of pain, a lot of hardships, a lot of disappointments you may endure. Life itself brings about a lot of wounds. These wounds can be physical, emotional, mental and even spiritual. Sickness can wound your body. Heartbreak or betrayal can wound your emotions. Continuous trials and tribulations can wound your mental. That sickness, that heartbreak, and those trials can lead you to begin to question God, to cause you to waiver in your faith, which can wound your spirit. There's so many things that life will throw at you that can lead to many different wounds in your life. Some times you will have only one wound and other times you may have more than one wound at a time. Sometimes the wounds caused by life can be so deep that it will seem that they will never heal. And just when it seems like it is about to heal, something else comes along that reopens that wound or causes another one. But even though it may not seem like it, there is good news within it all, God can heal all of your wounds.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. ~Isaiah 53: 5
It may seem like the enemy and your trials keep coming at you, making your wounds bigger and bigger. But God will take care of your enemy and all of your trials. Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice, and because of Him all of our wounds have and will be healed. God will restore you and your body. So hold on and know that God will heal whatever wound you have in your life. Your sickness, illness in your body, God will heal you. Your heartbreak, God will mend it. Betrayal, God will surround you with those who care. Trials and tribulations, God will deliver you. Whatever it is you are going through, whatever wound you may have, no matter how big or small, God will take care of you, God will heal you. Hold on to your faith, even faith as small as a mustard seed can bring about miracles. Hold on to God's unchanging hand. Restoration and healing is upon you. God will fully restore you. Know that God loves you and care about you and He will heal all of your open wounds.
Scripture:
‘Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; Those who plunder you shall become plunder, And all who prey upon you I will make a prey. 17 For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” ’
~Jeremiah 30:16-17
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before your throne to say thank you. Thank you for allowing us yet another day to walk the path you have set before us. God we are in need of your healing. God we know that by your stripes we are healed. And God we thank you for healing the sickness in our bodies. We thank you for mending our brokenness. God we thank you for healing all of our open wounds. God we thank you for loving us enough to take care of us each and every day. God we thank you for protecting us from dangers seen and unseen. God we know that with you everything is possible. God we know that you are still God of miracles and healing, and we know that you heal us and your promises for our lives will come to pass. And God we may not have open wounds right now, but God we pray that you heal the wounds of others that my be in need. Whatever it is that they are going through, we pray that you be with them. God heal their bodies, heal their heart, cover them from the crowns of their heads to the soles of their feet. And God those that are in bereavement, be with them during their time of grieving. God they may not understand why, but God we know that you don't make any mistakes. Comfort them Heavenly Father during this difficult. Heal and mend their broken heart. Heal their spirits during this time. Be with them everyday and every hour. God we need you, every moment of our lives. God we know that we are nothing without you and God we thank you for simply being you and loving us unconditionally. Despite our flaws, despite our failures, despite our open wounds. God we can't thank you enough. God we thank you for all that you have done, all that you are doing and all that you are going to do. God we love you and we thank you.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen!
