As a child, as far back as we can remember, we are constantly asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" From a doctor to a lawyer, from an actor to a writer, from a policeman to a fireman, it changes constantly. And by the time we have reached adulthood, we may have settled on what we want and have our whole life planned.

Prompted from childhood to think about the future, we are constantly planning out every detail of our lives and constantly changing ourselves trying to fit this picture of what we want our lives to look like. The only problem is that we will sometimes fail to consult God and leave Him out of the planning of our lives. So when things in our lives don't go as planned we begin to lose hope of the future.

But God tells us that

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart"

From the time God formed us, He had already had our lives planned out for us. There is a purpose for all of our lives within the will of God. And when we begin to lean on the Word of God, lean on Him for direction, begin to align our plans with the plans of God for our lives, we welcome in the peace of God and begin to see things shift in our lives. We begin to once again have hope for the future. God has promised each of us a prosperous future. God declares that His plans for all of us are

"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"

Regardless of what you are going through and what you see around you right now, this is not the end. Things may not have gone or is currently not going the way you had planned but God has a plan for each of you, for your life, for your family, for your career, for your purpose, for your future. You are not your circumstance. You are not your current situation. You are not your trials and tribulations. YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD with a prosperous future. And when you truly believe in the promise of God for your life, surrender to His will, and begin to walk in your purpose, your bright and prosperous future will begin to shine bright in your life. Keep pushing, keep trusting. God's plan of a prosperous future in your life is closer than you think.

Scripture:

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

~Jeremiah 29:11-13

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before your throne of grace to say thank you. Thank you for allowing us to see yet another day. God we thank you for the plans and the future you have for each of our lives. God we trust and believe that the promises you have for each of our lives will come to pass. We trust and believe that the plan you have for each of our lives are far greater than anything we could ever imagine, for we know that you are able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ask or imagine. God we thank you for loving each of us enough to plan out our lives and promising each of us a prosperous future. God give us the strength to continue to walk the path you have for each of our lives. God we love you and we thank you for all that you have done, all that you are doing, and all that you are going to do in each of our lives. God continue to be a hedge of protection around each of us as we go throughout this week. Continue to bless each of us, comfort us, and love us. God we love you now and forever more.

In Jesus' Name,

Amen!
