We go through so much in life. Sickness, heartbreak, betrayal, hardships and the list goes on and on. It can get so overwhelming at times that we begin to feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders.  We even start to look for somewhere or someone to turn to but often feel like we have nowhere or no one to turn to for help. And as days go by and we continue to search for somebody or somewhere to turn, the burdens on our shoulders seem to get a lot heavier, a lot bigger and a lot more troublesome. This feeling can cause us to become more worried than what we already were.  Some days it seems like we receive more bad news than good and that the troubles are never ending.  But there is someone that we can turn to, no matter how bad things get, that will be there for us during your troubled times and always. JESUS.  In Jesus we will find love, we will find joy, we will find peace, we will find comfort, and we will find rest.  God simply promises that if you come to him, He will provide everything you need, even that rest that you’ve been longing for. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.“ (1 Peter 5:6-7)

Whatever it is you're going through, whatever is keeping you up all night, whatever has you pacing the floor, whatever has you stressing, turn it all over to God. Whenever you are feeling overwhelmed, go to God and let Him take care of it, let Him take care of you. When you go to Him, He will allow you to rest while He take care of your troubles.  There are so many nights we lay down to sleep but don’t get rest because of everything bogging us down.  But the only way for us to finally rest is we must go to God, turn our troubles over to Him, and He will not only give us physical rest but also rest for our soul.

Scripture:

27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

~Matthew 11:27-30
