The New is Here!

As they say "Out with the old, in with the new!" As we begin this new year, God is doing something amazing new things in our lives. As you move forward in this new year, new you, don't get caught up in the old things, the old you. Change and new things can bring about fear and hesitation to move forward. A lot of times in life we get so caught up in what used to be and what we used to be out of fear of what's ahead. We can get so caught up in the past pains and what has gone wrong in former years, that it hinders us from moving towards greater. Even as you begin to move forward, to operate in the new, others will try to bring up your past to try to get us off track from pursuing your destiny. But instead of looking back, we must seek the lesson from our past and begin to move forward in our new beginnings. God reminds us not to dwell on the past. He tells us

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! ~Isaiah 43:18

When we focus on what used to be, we lose focus on what is going on right in front of us. We lose sight of what God is currently doing in our lives. It hinders us from moving into the new places God has for us and from becoming who He has called us to be. As we walk through the beginning of this new year, we must focus on what's to come, the new beginning, and not the past. God has elevated you to a new level and you must leave behind the old ways from the level that's behind you. Each new level in your life requires a different you. Yes, there may have been some hurt that took place, things may not have gone the way you expected them to go, but as you move forward don't focus on the bad that has happened. God will take the things that transpired in your life to catapult you into something new, something amazing. God will take the attacks of the enemy, the trials of life, the failures, the heartbreaks and use them as step stools to your new level. So stop looking back, stop thinking about the past. Stop replaying what happened. Stop thinking what if and focus on the new things that are coming your way. Today is a brand new start and God is making ways for you, making things new. The transition to the new you may be painful and sometimes you may want to look back, but keep your eyes pressed forward. God is using what you've gone through to elevate you to your next level. Focus on God and you will be able to see that He is doing something new just for you. The old is gone, THE NEW IS HERE!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before your throne of Grace today to say thank you. Thank you for allowing us to see yet another day. Thank you for the new beginnings and all the new things you are doing in our lives. God as we move into this new level, we ask that you continue to guide our footsteps. Be a hedge of protection all around us on this new journey Heavenly Father. God allow us to see the lessons from our past in order to learn and move on to our future. God give us the strength to endure the transition into our new, the strength to move forward into what you have for all of us. God we thank you and we love you.
