A lot of us have experienced pains throughout our life as we began to grow. The most common growing pains that we are familiar with are those thought about in medical terms. The growing pains that we experienced as youth in our legs and limbs as we grew into new heights in our life. Growing pains were a physical sign of the changes that were coming in our life, that soon we would be at a new height.

There is a different type of growing pain that we experience that are overlooked or looked at in a different manner. Most of the time we don't see this as growing pains but just out right unbearable pain. Those pains are life's growing pains. It's hard to see it this way, that this pain is a sign of change to come, when it seems like the pain is unbearable, that it seems like all you feel is the pain, when you can't see a positive outcome on the other side of the pain. But pain causes growth and growth causes change. You cannot have change in your life without growth or growth without change.

One of the most beautiful things we admire in life, and women love to receive are flowers. But have you ever thought about what goes into you being able to admire that beauty, the beautiful flower before you. Flowers are grown from seeds. Before we are able to see the beautiful flower, the seed is planted below ground, surrounded by darkness. Under ground, the seed is constantly trampled over, patted, rained on, tossed around, currently not seeing the light of day. As the flower begins to grow from the seed, the flower still undergoes hardships. Wind blowing it back and forth, water and rain sometimes almost to the point of drowning, hot days, and still sometimes being walked on and trampled after it begins to break the surface. But the flower continues to grow through the challenges it endures in order to become something beautiful for us to admire.

In order for us to make a change in our life, we have to embrace all of the growing pains that we go through. We have to embrace the trials and tribulations, embrace the rejections, embrace the heartbreak, embrace the attacks of the enemy and learn from them all. The closer you get to your new height, the pains may seem to become more unbearable but you have to keep pushing through, fighting through the pain because your new height is depending on it. Each new level of your life requires a new you and in order to get to that new level you will have to go through some things, go through some pains that will strengthen you. The pain you experience will help mold you to ensure that you are prepared and ready to handle your new level. Yes it's painful and yes it hurts but the things that once hurt you will serve in making you better.

So embrace this season of growth, embrace all that you are learning in this season. These lessons, these test, these pains will be instrumental in your success in your next level. The growing pains you are experiencing are a sign of the change to come, a sign of your elevation. And just like the beauty of a rose, a peony, a lily, there is beauty awaiting on the other side of your growing pains.
